I draw, paint, sculpt, create. Anything is a piece of material for a new creation.
I have a background in fashion and textiles.
Previously I have focused on nudes, portraiture and random pieces that never sat anywhere and I once never understood the variance of my works. Now I work purely intuitive , I never know what it is that will come out. And this is so unexplainable exciting.
My works are born from my spiritual response to energy that comes from the spirit realm and my music helps the flow. The initial drawing process is relatively quick yet takes a lot of energy.
In a state of meditation with my eyes shut and music playing I will what feels to me like conducting the orchestra - draw.
Fast and slow, the energy flows through me to the pencil in what feels like scribbling to me marks the canvas or paper. I tend to work on a large scale so this is a rather physical process.
After the initial drawing is complete I then colour intuitively, This can be over days or weeks. Falling into the colour and texture of the paints whilst worldly thoughts pass through. Sometimes I will play thoughts others are educational and require listening.
I am one of the tools in the creation of these paintings equally to the paint ,canvas and music alike.
I sometimes am given a title and meaning other times maybe I just miss it or it may come later. Some pieces have very clear and strong personal messages whilst others may not necessarily be for me.
During the process of completing my paintings I am not viewing them as a whole rather I see them as coloured mosaic pieces. It is later on when I have disconnected with working on the piece that I see its image clearly.
My intention is to translate energy into visual form- offering viewers a mirror for their own inner journey. Each painting carries its own vibration and story, inviting you to pause, reflect and feel.
